McEwans hardware​

Who remembers shopping at McEwans hardware store? Maybe you or your parents used to work here as well? Some even call it the Bunnings of its time!

Yes Dandenong had a large store. My
Mum negotiated interest free furniture pieces back in early 60’s. Also my aunt put all her groceries in the boot and did some extra shopping in the Main Street. Came home to find no groceries / those days there were no locks on the boot and someone just helped themselves. Just goes to show that even then we were fleeced, just not via the internet.
