Friendship rings

I met hubby on 2nd June, 1973. On 22nd August 1973 we went shopping for a friendship ring. We couldn’t find one we liked but there was a jewellery rep in the store and he went to his car and brought in several cases of rings for us to look at. We both picked the same ring, I still have it, it is so small, won’t fit over my arthritic knuckles anymore. I will gift it to one of my granddaughters soon. Then on 30th August 1973 we got engaged. We both knew on our first date we would marry. Now about to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We have had a great life together, despite the ups and downs. More ups than downs. But marriage is like anything in life, it takes some effort to keep it together from both hubby and wife.
