Members, do you remember eagerly dressing up to attend a children’s birthday party? Sailor collars, puffy skirts, bows, and knee-high socks—some mums in the ‘60s even made these sweet-looking outfits themselves!

Yes my other brother (not in photo) and myself took after Dad with his dark red hair. I have still got it today, but not so dark. Never had to dye my hair at 63 years of age !

We paid a fortune in our youth to have hair that colour I had blonde hair and hated it.even my friend had red hair but she still dyed it more vibrant red.now mines just silvery grey.

It was always special to get a new dress to wear on Christmas Day to Church. Also a new hat, my mother was a regular customer at June Milliner's. She would buy all the bits she wanted and made some pretty good looking hats.
