When ‘saving a spot’ goes too far: Driver accused of ‘super rude’ act at local shopping centre

Yes you could be right but I know a lot of people who milk the system including family members. And they actually joke about it because they know it infuriates me!!

That innocent washing machine could be a deadly fire hazard lurking in your laundry

Same goes for dishwashers. We never leave on when we're not there & turn off at the main when on holidays. We unplug all appliances also if going away. Have always done this. We're from the older generation. I don't think our kids do this even tho we tell them.

When ‘saving a spot’ goes too far: Driver accused of ‘super rude’ act at local shopping centre

We applied for a temporary disability sticker as my husband (79) had an accident & seriously damaged his knee & broke his wrist. He's in a full leg brace from groin to ankle & plaster on his left arm. Getting in & out of the car is very difficult & if we don't have a wide disabled spot to park...

    Why do doctors run late?

I usually use Hot Doc or Easy Visit to book/cancel appointments. Very convenient as you can book over the wkend or evenings when the surgery is closed. They get back instantly & confirm your appointment. Great Apps 👍

Little-known road rule costs rider $844 for ‘harmless’ move

Have no sympathy for this person. What she did was reckless & could have caused a serious accident! Hopefully she's learnt her lesson 🙏🏻

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

And..... probably cause half of the employees are young & cannot work out the change to give you! Especially if something is $11 & you give them $21 dollars so u only get $10 back. That confuses them completely!

Another wave of family restaurants face perfect storm as beloved institutions close their doors

We use to eat there when we lived locally. Great service & food was lovely & fresh & affordable. The decor was a little out dated & could have done with a refurbishment but the food was so good it never worried us. There are a lot more cafe/restaurants opening in that area that cater for the...

Lucky escape as retiree outsmarts $15,000 remote access scammers but others may not

We are far from intelligent but just savvy to today's world. You have to be im afraid or your left behind. Our kids keep telling us that. Now they are intelligent & we often refer to them for support. I left school at 15 same as my husband. No education just common sense. I grew up in the...

Lucky escape as retiree outsmarts $15,000 remote access scammers but others may not

I find it hard to believe that there are still people out there that are so gullible & fall for these scammers! Have they been living in a bubble & don't hear or read about scams going around. So frustrating!!! We are older seniors & so aware of any strange calls, emails, texts & Pop ups. Just...

Free no more! Why everyday aged care support could now drain your savings

I worked in Community age care for 8 years & i tell you it's one of the hardest jobs to do. I loved my work but would come home absolutely exhausted!
