Housing development is wiping out wildlife habitat. Our penchant for huge homes is also part of the problem.

bassinnettes Some 85 + years ago I was in one of these bassinettes. A tiger or red bellied black snake was discovered crawling up a leg. It was easy for a snake to enter our house. My Grandmother disposed of it.
