'What's the deal?': Ruffled tradie questions hardware store’s pet policy

I see absolutely no reason to take any animal (Guide Dogs obviously excluded) into any shop. I have an aversion to dogs and I loathe some dribbly dogs coming up to me and slobbering over my clothes & shoes. I also dislike the probability of using a trolly which has had a dog inside, which the...

    Joke It's a skill

I dish wash. She re-washes. The dish washer only does a 95% job, there is always unwashed section of dishes, no matter if I use the most expensive 'no need to pre-wash' or the cheapest ALDI or Woolies tablets. Admitted I live in a rented property & the landlord did install the cheapest they...

ALDI's price prowess: Switching from Woolworths saves ‘small fortune’ for this Aussie shopper

If you buy generic items from either Woolies or Coles you will find that Aldi works out dearer. People compare generic with name brands. For some reason they do noy buy generic rom regular stores but are happy to have cheaper quality items from ALDI. Go figure.

Home economist puts two air fryers to the test. Which came out golden?

Air Fryers are just small ovens. Problem is you need three or four air fryers to cook a halfway decent meal, even for two people, a family of 5? at least 6 Air Fryers will suffice.

Coles customers find peace and quiet with this self-serve checkout button hiding in plain sight

Easier to shop at Woolies. No voice (but they do call the assistant when you have other shopping in your trolly, but they all do).

Strain no more: Kmart's $1.75 can strainer drains away kitchen woes!

Only fit a small number of cans. The old 'only open a few millimeters' then drain is cheaper and will always work.. One less bit of flotsam in the drawer.

Dodgy driver's licence tactic is spiralling out of control

My Daughter & S-I-L often swap names to keep their licences. They do not declare any when obtaining insurance. Sooner or later they are going to get an insurance claim refused for incorrect point declaration.

Unlock every Woolworths discount code with this secret method!

Totally agree. Pickers do not look for the best available, They will always pick the item at the front, which means shortest 'Use By Date' your milk may be about to expire, your eggs are usually broken - they don't check for cracks. They don't check like for like, you pick Brand 'A' but Brand...

Aussie mum shares shocking price disparity between Coles and ALDI—'It's disgusting’

In order for the public to know just what is being discussed, Lidia should provide a full list (brands quantities etc) of what was bought were. Aldi has fooled the Australian Public since it arrived 1015 years ago. It sells generic products which are the same quality as generic products from...

The heartbreaking reason why this grocery is finally ditching self-serve checkouts!

Supermarkets charge a premium. We pay for and should receive full checkout service. If a discount were given for self serve (15% sounds fair) I would gladly use self serve. I do object to having to get an assistant? to clear the machine because I left an unused shopping bag, or god forbid, a...

ALDI chicken packaging ruffles people’s feathers, sparking heated debate

Meat products from most of the Australian Groceries have meat for sale in plastic trays which are decidedly convex. The reason they are filled with presurised nitrogen. If the package is concave that is a signal not to eat,
