Ways to save money that works

Having a really large family I have always tried to save money but without skimping.

I want to share some of my hacks.

Would also love to hear any that you have

GROCERY SHOPPING: I always shop on line, this way I can easily see what's on sale especially the half price items.
You get to see your cart in the end which allows you to adjust items if needed....no more surprises at the checkout.
Stock up on those 50% off items, I never ever pay full price for detergents, shampoos, toilet paper and tissues, Then just keep topping up when again on sale.
Coles has free delivery if you spend $250 and above, if needed shop every 2 weeks instead of weekly
For those who need to shop in store try to do it in one shop. It's a known fact every time you go to the shops you spend more than intended.
If you receive item that are not good quality or don't receive your item they will refund without fuss.

Coles will sometimes offer spend $250 on line to receive $20 instantly off your shop after adding the promo code to your cart

Sign up to reward cards Coles have flybuys, absolutely free. I have been using it for years. Certain items you can point boost.
Flybuy always offer bonus points eg ; spend $250 receive 10,000 bonus points = $50
Woolwoths also have a rewards card

CLOTHES SHOPPING : I never pay full price on clothing, sign up to receive emails from your favourite store. They will let you know when they have sales. I shop Rockmans, Noni B they email you specials daily. Eg jumpers normally $59 even $119 you can pick up for $8 to $20
If you have a special occasion , start looking weeks before, I have picked up evening dresses rrp $199 to $249 for $50.
They always have spend $100 receive $20 OFF
RETURNS are easy either in store or send back through post.
Alot of stores offer great deals

ELECTRICITY and GAS. If is really worth shopping around also calling the supplier you are with is also worth the call most of the time they will better what you are already receiving.
Agl you can add your flybuys and receive points
Origin you have add your woolworths rewards points.

The great thing with online shopping is you can pick up great deals and it makes it easy to shop around. I just purchase three gifts for my grandchildren and by shopping around I save $50. This was looking at big w, kmart and Target.

All these savings add up

Do you have and great saving hacks ?

Some great ideas there, thanks. I also look for when my local supermarket has markdowns. There are certain times of the day when they markdown items that need to be used that day or within the next couple of days.

I always shop online as well! I don't like guessing how much my grocery bill is upon checking out. Really great tips, @Suzanne rose ! :)
