I now live in Perth (12 months) and would love to see the sculptures. I won't go though because the parking is horrendous and parking fines are abundant. The area has a dreadful reputation for parking fines. 5 mts over will cost you $100

The residents need to think that by tourist coming into their area it will also bring money to the local business.

I've been to a few sculptures by the sea and love it.

This event is as it says ...by the Sea and it is public space and public beach.
Parking is the same for those going to the beach

I remember going to I think it was the first sculptures by the sea at cronulla maybe 20 years ago where the sculptures were all made out of sand

It has become bigger and now from Bondi to Tamarama Beach, and is sculptures made out of all different metals ect.

You always have trouble finding parking but no harder than when you drive for a visit to the beach
