Two husbands discover they're married to the SAME woman: "Our entire relationship had been a lie"

Your spouse is the sole person you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live.
It would be devastating to discover that the person with whom you swore an oath is not who you thought…
In this story, a man who had nagging doubts and suspicions about his new wife was horrified to learn the terrible secret she had been hiding all these years.
In 2012, Christopher Thomas wed Karen Sheratt, the woman he had fallen in love with while using an online dating service. But unbeknownst to him, his wife harboured a secret – she was still wed to her previous husband, Peter Sheratt, whom she had married back in 2006.
Following the discovery of her lies, the two husbands found out that they had both been married to the same woman for several years.

After a whirlwind romance and a subsequent divorce from her first husband, Karen tied the knot with Peter in 2006. Or so he thought. They also had a joint bank account, but Karen frequently allowed it to go into an overdraft, giving rise to paranoia between the couple.
In the end, Peter abandoned Karen at the house they had shared as a married couple, but the couple did not end up formally divorcing each other.
"She would tell me lots of little lies about where she was and what she'd been doing," said Peter.
"Our shared accounts were always empty and I was really struggling financially to keep us afloat. When I asked her about our money problems, she'd be evasive and cold. She was always hiding things from me."
On a dating site in 2012, Karen connected with ex-serviceman Christopher. The two of them got along instantly from the moment they met, and only seven short months later, the couple tied the knot in a hotel.
Christopher recalled that his new wife gave the impression that she had "lots of secrets," but because he was too infatuated with her, he pushed his fears to the back of his mind and focused instead on the joys of their relationship.
However, Christopher came across a divorce petition from her marriage to Peter in 2013, which is how he learned about her deceit. Distraught, Peter left the family home after leaving the papers on the kitchen table for Karen to find.
"All the niggles and suspicions I'd had all came to a head the minute I found that document," Christopher recalled. "At that moment I knew our entire relationship had been a lie and who knows how else she had fooled me."

After learning Karen had posted her photo to a dating website just days later, as she did before they got married, Christopher called Peter and the police to report her as a bigamist.
Her lies came to light and Karen was accused of bigamy, which is the crime of getting married to someone while you are still legally married to someone else, and she was sentenced to a 4-month jail term.
By law, both of her previous marriages to separate men were declared null and void.
During the course of the trial, the two husbands were not permitted to communicate with one another; however, in a surprising turn of events, Christopher and Peter have become the best of friends after having a pint together after everything was resolved.
"It might seem odd to some people that we get on so well," said Peter. "But we had an ex-wife in common, and we had a shared experience; it was clear that we had this bonding experience, and we were going to be mates for a long time."
"She had us both under her spell and our close friendship is a result of that really."
What a wild story! Who would have thought that two innocent strangers would end up becoming "best friends" in the craziest way possible, eh?
What are your thoughts, folks?
