This 65-year-old singer is unrecognisable without makeup–Can you guess who this 80s legend is?

The 1980s were a golden era for pop-rock music, with many bands leaving indelible marks on the music scene.

Among them was an all-female group called The Bangles that dominated the charts with hits like 'Manic Monday,' 'Walk Like an Egyptian,' and 'Eternal Flame.'

The lead singer and guitarist of this band recently turned 65 and celebrated the milestone with a candid, makeup-free video on social media. Can you guess who she is?

Susanna Hoffs, the charismatic frontwoman of The Bangles, is the woman behind the video.

Known for her distinctive voice and guitar skills, Hoffs has been a prominent figure in the music industry for over three decades.

On 21 January, four days after her 65th birthday, she shared a thoughtful video with her social media followers.

In the video, Hoffs appears makeup-free, her skin smooth and radiant.

'I'm 65! Time marches on, but it's all good,' she said, smiling at the camera.

'No makeup,' she added, pointing to her face.

'It's gonna be okay. Getting older is okay it really is. Older and wiser.'

She reinforced this positive message in her caption, writing: 'Older BUT wiser! #65.'

The video was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and celebrity friends alike.

Actress Michelle Pfeiffer commented, '65 years of awesomeness,' while makeup artist Bobbi Brown, herself 66, said, 'You are fab. I'm 66. It's all good.'

Many fans also chimed in, praising Hoffs for her ageless beauty.

'Yes, but you look 45!' one fan exclaimed.

Another declared, 'Most beautiful 65-year-old woman in the world.'

The Bangles, originally formed in Los Angeles in 1981, consisted of founding members Hoffs, Vicki Peterson (guitar and vocals), and Vicki’s younger sister Debbi Peterson (drums and vocals), along with Michael Steele (bass and vocals).

The band enjoyed immense success throughout the 80s before disbanding in 1989.

However, they couldn't stay apart for long and reunited in 1998, continuing to perform and delight fans with their timeless music.

Speaking of ageing, another celebrity swept her fans away with her recent social media post about her ageless beauty and vitality.

She looks great for her age but I wouldn’t have had any idea who she was if you hadn’t said “the bangles”, not that I knew much about them either. 😃

She looks great for her age
But, I can't agree about old age being great
Personally I think it's got knobs on it.
Have to agree you. Some days it’s hard to make oneself move. I don’t necessarily mind aging just the side effects aren’t that great but the alternative isn’t appealing either. My mind is still active & I’m much more open to change & new ideas than when I was younger. I actually get cross with old people who are stuck in the past & always complaining about everything. We need to adapt to the world we now live in, within reason. A good moan helps now & then and so what if we’re grey, wrinkled & a bit saggy. I get a bit annoyed that at 71 I’m not grey, but then I’m still waiting to grow up.

I think old age is wonderful, just because we made it. Many have not, including my son.
I agree , hubby's parents died at 37 and 44 in and accident. I know plenty of young people to , most recently my nephew who was 35 in a bike accident 😐 if we get to live until we are old then it's a blessing .

Yes absolutely, it's a privilege, but we are too busy whining to realize. My son was 39.
I remember crying for my nephew thinking he won't see his children grow up , he had only been married 5 years, and was the eldest child. The bad thing is they will do his 2 year memorial in April and it will bring the whole hurt back again.

Wow, are you lucky or what, I'm a tad paunchy but no wrinkles!
I went from dark brown to silver/white in 6 months then started shedding fur like there was no tomorrow.
Now I have the perfect batting strip.

You are so right Clancieblue and I’m so sorry to hear about your son. My two older siblings didn’t make it to old age either. They were a fair bit older than me & both had heart attacks & were gone. It was heartbreaking especially for their children & my parents as well as my two other siblings and me. I remind myself of this whenever I’m having a bad day how lucky I am to still be here enjoying life. My husband & I are still mobile, driving and coping with life’s challenges on our own. Husband’s a bit ”one eyed” after his multiple operations last year but it hasn’t slowed him down. We really shouldn’t take anything for granted. Hope you are doing okay after losing your son.

Don’t think that look would suit me. My husband has what he calls his very high forehead, thin on top with normal hair at the back. He complains that his hair has lost direction & now grows out of his ears and nose.

Thankyou Patti for you're kind words. It was a terrible shock to lose my son, very unexpected. He had epilepsy. he went to bed and had a silent seizure, which caused a heart attack. he didn't wake up.
I hope I go before I have to face any more of these incidents. As you are aware they are not easy.
