The Boss's Problem
The head of a small company has a problem. Business is bad, and it becomes absolutely necessary to
reduce the staff by one employee. Jack Smith and Mary Jones are the two junior employees, and both are excellent workers.
How in all fairness, can the boss decide which one to fire?
Finally, he hits upon the idea of letting luck decide.
The next morning he keeps a close eye on the water cooler. Whichever of the two visit the cooler first will be the one to be let go.
Within an hour, Mary goes to the cooler for some water. The boss calls her into his office and explains, "Mary, I've got a terrible problem. I've got to lay you or Jack off."
"Boss, I've got a pounding headache, so you'd better jack off."
