Question 1: Which spacecraft was the first to successfully land humans on the Moon?

Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon on July 20, 1969. The mission was crewed by Commander Neil Armstrong, Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin, and Command Module Pilot Michael Collins. Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the lunar surface, marking a major milestone in the history of space exploration.

Question 2: Which branch of psychology is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders?

Clinical psychology is the branch of psychology concerned with the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. Clinical psychologists often work in hospitals, private practices, or other health care settings.

Question 3: Who was the first person to reach the North Pole?

American explorer Robert Peary claimed to be the first person to reach the North Pole on April 6, 1909, although this claim has been disputed by some who believe he may have fallen short of the actual pole.

Question 4: When was the telescope invented?

The telescope was invented in 1608 by Dutch spectacle maker Hans Lippershey. Galileo Galilei later improved upon the design in 1609 and was the first to use it for astronomical observations.

Question 5: What ancient city, now in ruins, was once the capital of the Inca Empire?

Machu Picchu, located in modern-day Peru, was built in the 15th century and later abandoned. It is believed to have been an important religious site and royal estate for Inca emperors and nobility. The site was rediscovered in 1911 by American historian Hiram Bingham.

Question 6: Which physicist is credited with developing the theory of relativity?

Albert Einstein, the renowned German-born theoretical physicist, developed the theory of relativity, which fundamentally changed our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the relationship between energy and matter. His work laid the foundation for modern physics.

Question 7: When warm, moist air rises rapidly, often during thunderstorms, what type of precipitation can occur?

Hail forms when strong updrafts in thunderstorms carry water droplets high into the atmosphere where they freeze. As the frozen droplets fall, they may be carried back up by the updrafts and accumulate more ice layers before finally becoming heavy enough to fall to the ground as hail.

Question 8: When discussing the mind-body problem, which philosophical theory states that the mental and the physical are two separate and fundamentally different things?

Dualism, famously supported by René Descartes, posits that the mental and the physical are two ontologically separate categories. This is in contrast to monistic theories which view mind and matter as being composed of one fundamental substance.

Question 9: Which television show featured a character named Kramer?

Cosmo Kramer, often referred to as simply "Kramer", was one of the main characters on the hit '90s sitcom Seinfeld, played by Michael Richards. Known for his eccentric behavior and wacky schemes, Kramer was Jerry Seinfeld's neighbor and friend.

Question 10: If you multiply an integer by itself and then add one, what type of number do you always get?

When you square any integer (multiply it by itself) and add one, the result is always an odd number. This is because the square of an even number is always even, and the square of an odd number is always odd. Adding one to an even square makes it odd, and adding one to an odd square keeps it odd.

Q8 states the mind and body problem.
It states Mental and Physical as being 2 separate things,
the clue was in the question, well that's my interpretation.😼
I've always thought Machu for Q5

🙀You are right. I saw the dual clue In Q8 too. I meant to say Q9 was a mystery guess. Too early for my brain and fingers to co-ordinate properly. I checked out Machu P last time the same question came up. It is thought to have been a palatial resort for the king and his vast entourage but not actually the capital. Like Balmoral and London, perhaps?
BTW what did your moggie 🐈teach you? 😸🐈‍⬛😺
