Remember these? The good ol' rusty merry-go-rounds that seemed to spin forever, powered by pure childhood energy. Back when the goal was to hold on for dear life while your mates ran like mad to make it go faster. Bet you can almost feel the wind in your face and hear laughter echoing from the playground! Who else misses these classics? Share your stories here!

Yep, all the big parks had a merry-go-round back in my day and I used to love playing on them.
They’ve pretty much all disappeared now. I know there is one park in south New South Wales where a merry-go-round still exists.

We had one in the local park and there was always lots of kids playing on it. In England we didn't have the heat problems. Given that we didn't have many toys or equipment that you could ride on - the merry go round was always popular. My other favourite was a swing that we had in our backyard.

Pity things change now you don't see children having fun too busy on their ipads.
My friend and l went to what we called ''the wreck''where there were swings in a field near a primary school and sing all the pop songs at the top of our voices.
