New photo from Woolworths confirms a downturn for one cult beverage

Just a few months ago, controversial YouTube star Logan Paul's new energy drink, Prime, was flying off shelves and fetching jaw-dropping prices online.

But now, shocking new photos reveal the beverage gathering dust on Woolworths shelves—priced at an all-time low of just $1.80 per bottle.

When Prime launched earlier this year, it immediately became a cult sensation among the younger generation. The ultra-trendy neon cans promised a formula of vitamins, antioxidants, and electrolytes.

But the most notable aspect was the sky-high caffeine content, with some flavours containing a whopping 200 mg per can—more than triple the recommended daily intake.

Logan Paul's legions of young fans, known as 'Logang', became obsessed with getting their hands on the drink.

Teenagers flaunted the cans on social media as the hottest new status symbol. Customers stripped supermarket shelves bare within hours of restocking.

Opportunistic resellers listed empty Prime cans on eBay for $30 or more.

But now, just a few months later, demand has dried up almost completely.

A new photo snapped by a shopper revealed Prime cans piled high and marked down dramatically at Aussie retailers like Woolworths and Coles. From an initial premium price around $4.50, they now cost as little as $1.80.

A social media user shared on the post: ‘The Coles near my house was basically giving it away, it’s on special at the 7-11 too, but nobody is buying it.’

‘When it first came out it was in short supply and Logan’s fans were happily paying $20 to get their hands on a bottle, even though it’s a pretty ordinary sport drink. Now that there’s a steady supply of it it’s proving to really not be very popular,’ another commented.

Previously, a mother from the Central Coast of New South Wales found a chunk of mould at the bottom of a Prime energy drink bottle purchased at Woolworths. This prompted other shoppers to share that their Prime bottles also have the same problem.

The supermarket believed the mould incident to be isolated but is investigating further and have asked the mother to contact their customer service team for a refund. You can read the full story here.

It seems the ‘Logang’ has moved on to the next viral trend, as is often the case with young fans and celebrity merchandise. Add in growing health concerns around the dangerous caffeine levels, and Logan Paul's drink has ended up a short-lived fad after all.

Key Takeaways
  • Logan Paul's energy drink, Prime, which was once a popular product, is now being sold for as little as $1.80 per bottle at Coles and Woolworths.
  • The drink's decrease in value is discussed by users online, with some mentioning the high caffeine content as a potential issue, especially as it was marketed to teenagers and children.
  • Consumers originally paid high amounts for the drinks, even for empty containers, with the recommended retail price being $4.50 per bottle.
  • The drink was in high demand when it was first released, with fans of Logan Paul eager to buy it. However, its appeal now seems to have significantly diminished.

Great!!!! Should be more of it. Research the ingredient list of these types of drinks and many others and you will see that the concoctions used contribute greatly to how our bodies become insulin resistant and very harmful to adults as well as children.

The effects are not only limited to insulin resistance but to many other issues as well. How do you think children or people that suffer anxiety will react after drinking this?

The majority of the food and beverage industry is full of lies. It's amazing how much people believe it, especially parents that fail to educate themselves on what is good for the kids and what isn't.

Why are these photo's shocking?
Should have been shocked when it was sold in the first place.
I know a young woman who was using a diet drink twice a day and having a diet V drink as well.
Then, for a treat was having a coffee stick drink. She was taken to hospital with suspected heart attack.
It was not that, but an overdose of all these items containing caffeine.

Just another 'Gimmick' put out by a pair of Social Media influencers in order to make a quick buck......made $250Million in sales in first year.....Come on in Spinner. 😱🤔😝

appears Logan Paul's ability to influence has slipped. Ah the fickle of what to do when you're so last weeks influencer or celebrity that is no long appealing to the youth consumer.
