Is that a joke Gilly. It might be considered by some as being funnier than the original.Sorry I don't consider this funny. Family violence is the leading cause of homelessness and these senseless jokes just make a mockery of violence against women. I think you need to be a bit more responsible in the type of jokes you feature.
Lol, what a stupid girl!!! Hahaha.
They're both acceptable in the English UK language. Here in Australia, it's lying not laying. And the people who post these are journos'?
If we are going to get picky on spellings, grammar, writing and pronunciation, pray tell why do you have an apostrophe after the word journos? Here in Australia, it's lying not laying. And the people who post these are journos'?
Hmm.... Sorry Teach, I even have a degree in English and English Comprehension. If we are going to get picky on spellings, grammar, writing and pronunciation, pray tell why do you have an apostrophe after the word journos?
It has, of late, become extremely common in Australia to put the apostrophe in the wrong place when referring to the possessive of a word and also the plural of a word. Correct spelling and grammar have gone out the window even with people of our generation, the ones responding here at SDC. Schools do not seem to be teaching any grammar these days. Another very misused word is ‘their’ which is substituted with ‘there’ and vice versa. A sorry state of affairs indeed.
Come on that's not funny
Your uncle had a weird sense of humour.Years ago my uncle Adrien blind folded me and then said give your finger and tell me which part of my head you are touching ,unbeknown to me he had taken a mandarine which he put to one of his eyes and pulling my finger to his eye ,he made go through the mandarin and screamed Jacques you have poked my eye out !To this dayI remember this awful feeling of my eye going into ”eye” ,I was 10 years old !
My husband tells me I am the spelling police and I must admit incorrect spelling irks me.If we are going to get picky on spellings, grammar, writing and pronunciation, pray tell why do you have an apostrophe after the word journos?

No need for the apple, they are my least favourite fruit! Oh, I’m so glad to hear you say you have the Degree in English but very disappointed that you cannot be bothered to use it. Spell checks (of American English and other Americanisms) are part of the reason people do not speak properly these days.Hmm.... Sorry Teach, I even have a degree in English and English Comprehension.
These days, I couldn't care less if it is correct or not. If the spellcheck doesn't activate then stuff it .. It can stay
Next week I will bring you an Apple so I get a better report..
