Groom blasted online for being underdressed in his own wedding: “Did he not know he was getting married?”

More and more, ready to be married couples these days are shying away from the trappings of a traditional wedding, such as the multi-tiered wedding cake that must have cost hundreds of dollars, the pastel colour palettes, and even the traditional wedding gowns and suits.
We’re all for couples who embrace their individualities in their weddings, and we support them for it!
However, it seems like one newly wed couple in the UK did not get the memo when it came to coordinating their wedding outfits.
One groom has been roasted online after showing up at his own wedding in a… rather casual attire – wearing a black shirt and a pair of grey denim jeans. Beside him in the photos below is his wonderful wife, donning a flowy white dress, all dolled up for the occasion.

In a slideshow of clips posted on TikTok by the bride’s best friend, the couple was shown reciting their vows in front of a priest, inside a Catholic cathedral.
The woman made the video to recall how unexpected the bride’s love story is, from swearing to never fall in love, to getting married several months after. “She definitely fell in love this summer,” she wrote in the caption.
However, despite the best friend’s nostalgic intentions, thousands of people pointed out an entirely different thing in the clip.
The bride’s husband-to-be turned up at his own wedding, wearing wash-out jeans and a black shirt with the logo “Palm Angels”.
Even though the shirt is from designer Francesco Ragazzi’s streetwear line, and would usually cost around $390 to $555 bucks, several people who saw the video still bashed the groom’s outfit choice.
One person wrote that it’s sad to see the bride looking all beautiful for the wedding but the groom “couldn’t even be bothered” to change his clothes from the night before. Another person agreed and joked that maybe he’s just “filling in for a mate”.
A third person added their own quip, saying: “When you’re getting married at 4 but night down with the lads at the pub is at 6.”
A fourth person also asked: “Did he not know he was getting married?”
Meanwhile, some people pointed out that the bride did not look that happy either, because she never cracked a smile.
But the bride’s best friend responded in the comments and said that people should stop bothering them because she’s happily married. When asked about her husband’s outfit, she said it doesn't bother her one bit.
