Does this logo look familiar? Take a trip down memory lane at this Woolworths store!

This Woolworths store is like a time capsule from the 1980s!

One shopper has taken to social media to share an unbelievable detail from his local store in Eastwood, Sydney.

Sharing a photo of the unique feature on Reddit, the store still displays the retailer’s old logo and branding from 35 years ago.

It should be noted that the distinctive green Woolworths logo with red stripes on either side was first used in all stores across Australia in 1987.

While Woolworths updated its branding in 2002, it seems that this store has been "stuck in the 80s" for the last 20 years.

Regular shoppers of the store have expressed their sentiments over the establishment, with many describing the store as a "fossil".

The locals also said that the store is ancient "in more ways than one", revealing that the store lacks self-serve cash registers and coin-operated trolleys.

One patron jokingly claimed that the store was probably "forgotten" by the retail giant's bosses.

The user said: “This is my local Woolies. What’s in the aisles makes no sense either, it’s all just kind of chucked together."

“I’m convinced that Woolworths have totally forgotten they even have this shop.”

A number of users expressed their excitement over the store, with many saying that it was "refreshing" to see a Woolies that has seemed to be preserved from its era.

One Reddit user wrote: “A relic from simpler times!”

“Nostalgic. Wish there was still a Franklins,” another said.

A third chimed in: “A living fossil.”

“As someone who lives in Denistone (the suburb right next to Eastwood), I can wholeheartedly agree with this statement. It’s almost like a time capsule,” another added.

Others took their chances to score some bargain buys, with one sarcastically writing: "Are the prices still stuck in 1996?”

So, there you have it, folks! We're sure that this story will give you some warm fuzzy nostalgic feelings. Do you miss the 80s aesthetic of Woolworths? Better yet, do you have unforgettable memories from the 80s that you would like to share with us?
