A Safety Net For Your Pet: Why Knose Pet Insurance Is Worth Your Bottom Dollar

It’s no secret we all love our furry friends here at the Seniors Discount Club. We know they aren’t just pets, but they are some of your closest companions and members of your families. We’d do just about anything for them, but sadly, sometimes that ‘anything’ simply isn’t possible.

We all know how expensive vet bills can be. I know this because just last week, I took my Jack Russell, Poppy, to the vet because she had an awful-looking red-raw paw. The culprit? She is allergic to grass. The solution? An injection and 10 days on antibiotics. The bite out of my pocket? $386.60. This is a ‘cheap’ vet visit compared to what I have seen some of my friends pay for medical emergencies. Not to mention, I’m lucky enough to have that money in my pocket, but I know not everyone does.

But that’s where Knose Pet Insurance*, the winner of Finder’s ‘Top Pick for Value’ award earlier this year can step in and help. Knose Pet Insurance* is designed to provide extensive coverage for unexpected injuries and illnesses your pet may face.

‘We offer extensive plans that encompass dog insurance (including puppies) and cat insurance (including kittens).’

Knose Pet Insurance* and our Aussie-run customer care team provides an array of flexible options to make pet insurance simple and tailor it to your needs and budget. We also do not impose sub-limits. This is something that sets us apart from so many of their competitors. We are dedicated to providing straightforward and accessible pet insurance options for both dogs and cats.’

‘Our goal is to keep pet insurance simple and flexible to suit your unique needs*. Sub-limits impose extra limits, or ‘ceilings’ on certain vet expenses like cruciate ligament surgery, hip dysplasia, tick paralysis and/or vet consultations, under an insurance policy. This means that if your dog or cat constantly has one of these issues (or issues like these) you can only claim so much back on your insurance. This is the case with many pet insurers. Just last month we paid a $25,000 benefit after a pet was hospitalised for days with tick paralysis. This is commonly limited to just $1,500 or less.’

But Knose Pet Insurance* does not have any sub-limits. In addition, ‘we let you choose from various Annual Limits, including $7,500, $12,500, or $25,000, and Benefit Percentages of 70%, 80%, or 90%. We also offer three Annual Excess options, namely $200, $100, or $0. This means that you can tailor your cover for your furry friend.’

If your furry friend is still a puppy or kitten, now is probably the best time to get pet insurance. ‘With Knose Pet Insurance*, there are no age limits once you start your insurance. Keep in mind there are specific age limits for starting an insurance policy. When purchasing a new policy, the minimum age is 6 weeks old, and the maximum age is 8 years and 364 days old.’

‘For those with an older pet and budgetary concerns, one approach to getting Knose Pet Insurance* could be to opt for a higher excess and lower monthly premiums. That way, you’ll save money in the short term and still have some money in the bank if you ever need it.’

‘One of the favourite things about Knose Pet Insurance* is our free 24/7 access to a Pet Health Hotline*, where you receive expert advice from a qualified registered vet nurse who can offer guidance on your pet’s health, behaviour, training, and nutrition concerns.’

‘It takes under 2 minutes to obtain a quote with Knose Pet Insurance*, and you can get one right here*.’

‘If you are already insured with another pet insurer, you could get in touch Knose Pet Insurance* to see if our product is better suited to your needs!’

If you’re not a fan of online quotes, that’s okay! You can always get in touch with Knose Pet Insurance* at 1300 356 643. ‘All of our contact centres are Australian-based, so don’t worry; you’ll speak to an Aussie.’ Knose Pet Insurance* have also been kind enough to give our members a surprise discount on their first month of pet insurance* if you use the promo code: SDC2310 when grabbing your quick quote*!

My niece found a local Vet who has a pet club, somewhat like a membership a human would pay at a gym.
I believe she pays $10 a fortnight to subsidise all pet visits. The little pup needed treatment quite soon after arrival that needed constant medication. She has saved heaps,
Vets fees are quite often more expensive than human care. It pays to do the research before deciding to bring a new fur baby into the home.

Been there done that no more pet insurance for me. When you go to claim ( I hadn't in 3 yrs ) the excuses come thick and fast I was offered $800 on a $3000 bill when I questioned ,they said because he was a rescue dog the policy said claims up to $20000. I started paying $28 a fortnight before I cancelled it had risen to $49.50 a fortnight more than my insurance. So much for Guide dogs insurance co all scammers

I totally agree ... pet insurance is not as good as people claim it is. They will find any excuse, including the animal being a rescue, to avoid paying out on claims. My biggest gripe with it though is that you have to pay the entire bill upfront and then, upon proof of payment, they will consider the claim. Most people have insurance so the upfront cost is not so high! I cancelled my pet insurance years ago for this reason as well as the fact they kept increasing premiums and offering less. I have an arrangement with my vet where I make payments regularly and keep my account in credit.
