Baking can be a tad bit intimidating at times. It can feel like working at a chemistry lab, as you spend your day praying you won’t ruin the cookies for the umpteenth time. If you find yourself in the same sticky situation, then we have the perfect recipe for you.

The young entrepreneur makes his phenomenal chocolate mud cake using common ingredients and a simple method. He starts with sifting all the dry ingredients in a bowl: 230 grams of flour, 85 grams of cocoa powder, two tablespoons of baking soda, and half a teaspoon of baking powder.

He proceeds by adding the wet ingredients; 250ml of full cream milk, 125ml of vegetable oil, one teaspoon of vanilla essence and two eggs into the same bowl.

Then, add 400 grams of sugar.

The young celebrity chef then combines all the ingredients together while slowly pouring in 250ml of boiling water. After some thorough mixing, he pours the silky smooth batter into a lined baking tin and cooks it in the oven at 150 degrees celsius to bake for 70 minutes.

Once the time is up and the cake is cooked to perfection, Morgan takes it out of the oven and lets it cool so he can simultaneously work on the chocolate ganache. The ganache is made by heating up 200ml of thickened cream in a pan over the stovetop. As soon as the cream has boiled, the TikTok star pours it into a bowl of chocolates to stir.

Finally, Morgan removes the cake from the tin onto a serving plate and delicately spoons the creamy chocolate ganache on top. It truly is a sight to behold!

“I made this. I tried it and it’s amazing *chefs kiss*” commented by a fan under his trending mud cake video.

He shares that he developed his passion for making food at a very young age, 7, and it started all thanks to the popular cooking show, Masterchef. He was inspired by the dedication of the show’s contestants towards achieving their dreams.

“If they can do it, I can do it.” he thought to himself.

At just 20 years old, Morgan Hipworth has made a name for himself in the food industry and has accumulated a huge following on TikTok with well over 900,000 fans and a whopping total of 15 million likes. He also appeared as a guest judge on Junior Masterchef!
