As a sailor and boat owner on the east coast of Australia, the new BOM doesn't have the local doppler effect (also very important for small aircraft, landing and takeoff). Having to constantly put in my data, get right the first time or try and find more details re exact location is frustrating...

Obviously the "overwhelming positive support" for the new BOM model didn't include any of those with legitimate complaints. Maybe the same was too small or too limited in its sampling. Was the survey done by the BOM? or an independent provider?
