Have been to Narrandera Fisheries Centre, wonderful place and they do great work. I suspect part of the problem with the decline of native fish has to do with the infestation of European Carp.
Running out of land?
Has anyone really looked at a map of Australia?
I can think of a number of places where a HUGE landfill could be placed.
It would have enough space for the country's landfill needs for 10s of thousands of years
I had a HUGE plain tree in my backyard that was causing all kinds of mess with dropped leaves fouling everything , including neighbours' pools. Council refused me permission to have it removed, because some residents in the next block maintained is was an enhancement to the neighbourhood.
I got...
I put all the blame on Govt.
None of this would be happening if it were not for the stupid, useless, idiotic, headless rush to renewables that this blind Govt is herding Australia towards.
It is destroying Australia, and will not make one iota of difference to the climate.
Indigenous owners believe that photographing these sacred places can cause the photographer to become sick.
This isn't superstition—it's a spiritual belief system that has governed this land for tens of thousands of years.
How can photgraphing things be governed by 10s of thousands of years...
I agree with the plastic wastage problems that need addressing, however keep in mind that the invention of plastics, along with oil from the ground was what saved the whales.
All the "Days" should be chucked in the bin. They are only an excuse for commercialisation.
Maybe not Christmas Day... or New Years Day... or Rememberance Day... or Anzac Day... or... geeez, whatever
We have a similar problem with a cat. Every time wife does some gardening, a cat will come and do it's business in the freshly dug soil to stink the place out.
Havent been able to catch it in the act, because it must be a night roamer
