Will your next GP visit cost less? The truth about $7.9 billion Medicare overhaul

I just want Naturopaths to be put back under medicare and private health cover. I do not trust Big Pharma sales reps (commonly known as GP's) with my health. 16 years ago i was put on BP medication with no explanation of what had caused my BP to spike, and no advise as to how to bring it down...

When life throws you a curveball: How Centrelink's cash advance could be your financial lifeline

I didn't say i could afford it - Entertainment is - I go to the movies 2 or 3 times a year. Fun is opening a bottle of (discounted) wine on a Sunday night with a friend, while we watch something on Stan, and usually share a bar of chocolate as well, unless we have baked then its a slice of...

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

Then you are part of the problem, because you don't see the bigger picture! You are contributing because "its convenient" to use a card everywhere.

'Cash mandate' that might not mandate much: What Australia's new rules really mean for your wallet

If you still naively believe that this is all to stop crooks and tax evaders, you still have your head in the proverbial sand. The reason they want to go cashless is because they cant bring in the CBDC (central bank digital currency) until; 1. Cash is a distant memory, and 2. they have us...

When life throws you a curveball: How Centrelink's cash advance could be your financial lifeline

Yes, I too buy my meat online from OurCow, usually only when the freezer is empty of the last lot. I have been budgeting (I have a spreadsheet set up) for more than 20 years now. I have several annexes for automatic bill payments in my bank account, and i divvy up my pay every month as soon as...

Hidden costs ahead?! Why you need to read your Medicare annual notice NOW

Because i ditched my "Sales Rep for the Pharmaceutical Industry" (aka - GP) a year or so ago, I now see a very good Naturopath every 6 weeks or so. She actually diagnosed what was wrong with me, and what was causing it, within 2 visits. This was after 16 years of a GP just peddling me BP...

Finally! An end to government paperwork limbo: Labor’s bold move to stop you filling out the same forms over and over

So this is how they are selling the Digital ID to seniors, without mentioning the label. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. The D ID is the most dangerous move this govt has ever made. They secretly started to push this through in 2020, while we were all locked down. Not one single MP stood against this...

Are your driving lessons putting your grandkids at risk? Road deaths up 4.8 per cent

They all have their licenses now, I was talking about when they were learning (which was years ago) I taught my youngest and she had a few lessons with a driving school, my ex-husband gave our eldest most of her lessons, as she wouldn't listen to me, so we went the safer option. My middle...

Are your driving lessons putting your grandkids at risk? Road deaths up 4.8 per cent

I live in NSW, its 120 hours (20 of which must be at night) before getting "P" plates. There is no way, as a single Mum of 3, that i could afford to pay a professional driving school that many hours of lessons.

Good grief! and they want us to all get a Digital ID. Thats a big fat NO from me. India, apparently, has already suffered hacking of its digital ID system, leaving millions of people devastated, locked out of bank accounts etc. We don't need any of it, and they are not going to keep under...

Potato shortage hits as South Australian growers struggle with extreme weather

Pleased to see people are starting to wake up to the dirty tricks. I stopped shopping at both C & W years and years ago, because of these tactics. Thank goodness i live in the Southern Highlands and we have Robertson potatoes.

Potato shortage hits as South Australian growers struggle with extreme weather

I buy produce from Farmers Pick, which is the fruit & veg that C & W reject. Its way cheaper than the majors, and its all just a bit misshapen, or wrong size.
