    I can't remember the name of the owners but so many things I do remember like home made iceblocks for a penny, a bag of broken biscuits for threepence, the smiles of the staff and occasional hugs and Mum always treated like a queen. The shop was on Lane Cove Road at Ryde but, of course is long gone.

    I loved seeing men look so neat and tidy. When my beloved late doctor was alive he always wore white at work.... shirt, shorts, sox and shoes. He always looked so professional and special.
