Another scaremongering story. Usually you are the only one who touches your phone. More risk of becoming ill by touching the hand rails of steps or the rubber on the escalators or door handles etc in public places.

Stop blaming the bank. The bank didn’t hand over any details. The onus is on the individual to be more diligent and not pass on personal information unless they are 110% sure it is legit!
