    The problem with the recipe is the availability in Australia of "tart apples". All Australian apples are sweet, which does not assist in the baking of such things as apple cakes, tarts, or pies. Also the cinnamon content could be reduced. There's nothing worse that a cinnamon cake with apple.

    If you think that this little video is check out his video on the great Aussie snack, the meat pie, in which he continually refers to "paies". I have been married to a Canadian girl for the past 40 odd years. She has never lost her Canadian accent, but speaks clearly compared to this bloke.

    From the description of the ingredients, it appears that "Babybird" may be American. I often refer to American Apple Pies more correctly as Cinnamon pies with apple. This menu reinforces it.
